Demolitions

Makkinga Contractors offers demolition services for small to large buildings.  We have the equipment and the experience to perform demolitions in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.  All demolition waste is properly managed, transported and disposed of to meet the Ontario Ministry of Environment regulations.  Site remediation is also available after demolitions including back filling the area as required and landscaping. 

 

Site Development

Makkinga Contractors offers full site development services.  This includes clearing and grubbing, excavation and embankment, drainage and drainage structures, sewer, water, site utilities, curb and gutter, sidewalks, landscaping, pavement stripping and construction of roadways.

 

Snow Removal

Makkinga Contractors Rentals offers snow removal services including lot clearing and sanding.  

 

Aggregates & Crushing

Makkinga Contractors operates both a gravel pit and quarry in the Thunder Bay district.  We also have gravel pits in Sioux Lookout, Ontario.  We offer a full range of aggregates such as Granular B 1, 2 and 3, Granular 7/8 A, Recycled Asphalt, Bedding Sand, Clear Stone products and Screened Topsoil.  Makkinga Contractors runs a mobile crushing and screening operation for custom crushing needs.  This equipment can be mobilized and operational quickly for time sensitive projects.  Please call our office to see how we can help you with your custom crushing and screening requirements.

Heavy Equipment Floating

Makkinga Contractors offers heavy equipment floating and hauling services throughout the Province of Ontario.  We have experienced drivers with excellent records who you can trust will transport your equipment in a safe and efficient manner.  Our equipment includes removable gooseneck lowbed trailers (RGN's) and stepdecks.  We will take care of permits and pilot vehicles if they are required to move your machine.
